Description


The 18-hole, par 71 Hamilton Island Golf Course is said to be one of the most challenging in the world. Designed by five time British Open winner Peter Thomson, and taking full advantage of Mother Nature’s work, the course is strung along the spectacular ridges and steep valleys of Dent Island. The course boasts a variety of obstacles for those willing to take on the challenge – wicked winds; impenetrable bushland; people have even called the 14th hole, the ‘Valley of Death’. 


Despite its punishing design the golf course is a ‘must do’ for both novice and professional golfers, catering for all experience levels. Plus, with spectacular views of the surrounding Whitsunday Islands and Coral Sea, the contemporary Clubhouse is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal after your unforgettable golfing experience. 


With large, comfortable, modern rooms, the Reef View Hotel offers a perfect getaway for couples, families or groups of friends. Spacious, comfortable and with most rooms boasting incredible sea views, the Reef View Hotel offers stylish and family-friendly Hamilton Island accommodation.

Validity


  • This package is valid all week, subject to availability.
  • Package must be booked at least 60 days in advance
  • Blackout periods apply (bookings not accepted) during Race Week 17-24 August 2024 and during the festive season from 20 December 2024 to 11 January 2025.


Important Information


  • The golf is pre-booked for 10am (or nearest available tee time) on the 2nd day of the package (the first day being arrival day). If this time is not available an alternative will be communicated to your prior. If the alternative time is not suitable for you it's your responsibility to contact Hamilton Island Golf Club to arrange a suitable time. Any unused elements of this package are non-refundable.

  • Availability: The supplier will do their best to accommodate your preferred date/time for this experience, but cannot guarantee the specific date and/or tee time requested

  • Dress Code: Please visit the golf club's website to make sure you understand and adhere to their dress code for guest players. If in doubt contact their Pro Shop for further information. You must play in golf shoes with soft spikes and generally wear smart, clean golf attire (for men or women).

  • Weather Conditions: The experience will generally go ahead in wet or inclement weather, however you may not have use of a golf cart due to the conditions. The experience will be cancelled when the golf course is shut by club (e.g. it's too wet or dangerous to play)

  • Cancellation Policy: Changes to your booking are allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience. Changes requested within 72 hours are solely at the discretion of the golf club and subject to availability. Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience and you would not qualify for a refund.

  • Wheelchair Accessibility: Golf experiences (on course) are generally not suitable for wheelchair-bound customers or spectators. Please contact the club to confirm wheelchair accessibility for general areas (e.g. reception or food & beverage outlets)

  • Motorised Carts: If the experience includes the use of a motorised cart it is based on two people sharing unless specified otherwise. Guests must be at least 18 years old to drive a motorised golf cart and might be requested to show ID on the day

  • Age Restrictions: Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the experience

  • Behaviour: Guests must adhere to the venue's golf course conditions, rules of play and general etiquette standards as outlined on their website, in their clubhouse and as instructed by the Pro Shop on the day of play. If guests do not comply with these rules the golf club reserves the right to request the guests leave the premises

  • Damage: Any damage to the golf course or the golf cart is the responsibility of the guest

  • Spectators: This experience does not allow for non-playing spectators on the course, please check with the golf club whether non-playing guests are allowed to enter the general areas of the venue.

  • Inclusions: This experience does not include the hire of golf clubs (unless specifically stated) and only includes what is listed in the experience description. Anything not included in this experience will be your responsibility and paid for on the day separately.
